Trims and Pricing
The 2022 Nissan Kicks is available in three trim levels: S, SV, and SR. Front-wheel drive and a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine are standard. The most popular trim is the SV, and that's our choice, too. We'll explain why.
The base S trim starts at $21,025 (including a $1,225 destination fee). Standard features include 16-inch wheels, a six-way manually adjustable driver's seat, cloth seats, a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert. Options include a rear roof spoiler, stainless exhaust finisher, and a premium Rockford Fosgate audio system.
Priced at $22,875, the SV adds 17-inch wheels, heated outside mirrors, silver roof rails, automatic temperature control, rear-seat heating ducts, remote start, a rear door alert, intelligent cruise control, automatic brake hold, and an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen. Options include black aluminum-alloy wheels. The SV is our pick of the lot for its larger touchscreen, automatic temperature control, and intelligent cruise control.
The top SR, priced from $23,565, has standard cloth seating surfaces with orange sport accents and stitching, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, black roof rails, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, around-view camera, and LED fog lights, running lights, and headlights. The optional SR Premium package includes an eight-speaker Bose audio system, upgraded seat fabric, heated front seats and steering wheel, a vehicle security system, cargo cover, and Wi-Fi hotspot.
Infotainment and ConnectivityThe base trim's infotainment includes a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, three USB ports, and a six-speaker audio system. The rest of the lineup gets an 8-inch touchscreen, which is a common size in this class, with the addition of SiriusXM, two USB ports, and one USB-C port. The top SR adds the option for NissanConnect Services with a three-year trial, Wi-Fi connectivity, and an eight-speaker Bose audio system with driver headrest speakers. The system includes key connectivity and a large screen even on the base trim. While it's not loaded with features, it has the ones drivers want most and they're easy to use.
